So it has to be said, on the Mac client at least there has been a major increase in the amount of time it takes for the world to fill-in after entering a building in town. I would get it occasionally before (I play on a laptop that’s a few years old now), especially with banks and other high player traffic areas, but it’s gotten a lot worse since v2.0. Plus, my partner-in-crime-and-adventuring, who runs the game on a high-end current generation iMac, has staretd having the same problems though she never did before 2.0.
Anyway, that’s not actually the point of this post (I trust that they will get it tuned up and fixed) but it is the setup for it. Because last night I had the most hysterical example of this happening ever, when I entered the keep at Bangkorai Garrison to free the knights and kill the boss. And yes, I entered into a blank Matrix-like whiteness with object floating around above and below me. But then I looked down and saw this:
I wished (as I often do) for a /siteatpopcorn emote as I became a spectator (through invisible floors and walls) to another player, downstairs in the dungeon, dutifully fighting it out with the boss that I had come to kill as well.
So obviously it’s a glitch and yes I hope they can figure it out soon. But sometimes the glitches are pretty awesome too 😀
