So, that was an impromptu hiatus. Had a very busy autumn, with shows and school and more shows, and there was just no time for gaming or blogging. Ok, that’s a lie: there just wasn’t time for blogging. The game went on!
Rather than trying to reconstruct the last 4 months of gaming in some sequential way, I’ll just post the juicy bits when I get a chance. So it’ll be like little mini-trips in the wayback machine, to visit stuff that happened. In other words, don’t try to follow chronology, it’ll skip around worse than a Faulkner novel.
In other news, my own laptop is still limping along; at no point this fall did I feel able to be without it for 7-10 days while it got sent out for fixing. We scavenged one of my old iMacs to play the game, which actually wasn’t too bad, though it wasn’t great either. The big news of late, however, is that my better half was long overdue for a new computer, and decided to go with a desktop instead of laptop. The new iMacs had just come out and we were like, Fuck it, let’s get it!
So now we are playing ESO on a 27″ iMac Retina display 5K, with the 5120×2880 pixels displaying graphics set to Ultra, and it rocks. To quote Ferris Bueller, “It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.”
And so: happy adventuring!
